Priority Consult for Breast Care
More than just a database designed to gather relevant patient information, Priority Consult Breast Care is a queuing mechanism that allows care providers to ensure that patients progress through their treatment in a seamless and timely manner. No patients are overlooked or lost within the system. Detailed reports can be generated showing staff, nurses and physicians exactly how long it takes a patient to go from an initial imaging reading to biopsy, to pathology communication, and finally to treatment. A key deliverable in the development of the program was the ability to generate individual patient summaries directly from the system. At any point in a patient's care, a detailed summary of all that has been completed for the patient can be printed. This summary is used in multidisciplinary or tumor board conferences for specialists to review patient cases. Resulting recommendations from these conferences are then entered into the patient's Priority Consult Breast Care record. Click here to view a sample patient summary.
Follow up and support services information also complement the Priority Consult Breast Care system. Nurse Navigators assigned to patients can set a date when they need to follow up with a patient. This function is not only used to gather follow-up care information, but is also used to inform nurse navigators when they need to contact patients to discuss the status of their care or when it's time to schedule an appointment or diagnostic test.
From the receipt of a patient's initial BIRADS score, through biopsy and follow-up care, Priority Consult is there to assist you every step of the way.
